However, cleaning this filter can sometimes cause a bit of a mess, especially if water has built up inside the machine. Here we show you a clever trick for using a simple PET bottle to do the cleaning properly and without flooding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What you need:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>An empty PET bottle (0.5 litres or more)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A towel or cloth<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A small bowl (optional)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step-by-step instructions:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Switch off the washing machine:<\/strong> Before starting work, make sure that the washing machine is switched off.
